Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco - Hydroelectric - Aguas Calientes

Early in the morning we pick you up from 07:00 a.m. to 07:30 a.m., from your hotel. The tour will start with a pleasant and picturesque walk to Ollantaytambo, where we will have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the area, we will take a short break, of 25 minutes (approx.), In the Town of Ollantaytambo, from there, we will continue by a long and winding road called “Habra Málaga”, which is at an altitude of 4,316 meters. From that point of view, we are going to see some of the most impressive landscapes that Peru has to offer. After a brief stop we will begin the descent into the thick jungle, passing through the different micro-climate that combine paradisiacal landscapes of the majestic snow-capped peaks with the entrance to the tropical jungle. We will continue our route by a paved road in perfect condition passing through Alpamayo, until we have reached Santa María which is located at an altitude of 1575 meters above sea level where we will take a moment to rest here before continuing towards the small town of Santa Teresa, where a delicious lunch will be waiting for us. Later, around 3:30 p.m., we will return to the route in the direction of the train station, at the Hydroelectric Plant.

From here we will begin with the trekking in an approximate of 02 hours with 30 minutes, until arriving at the town of Aguas Calientes, at which time you will be taken to the hostels. If we have some extra time to use, we can also go for a relaxing bath in the natural waters of the thermal baths. At 8 pm, however, it will be time to enjoy our dinner together with the guide who will accompany you to the ancient citadel of Machu Picchu. At that time, he will have the opportunity to review the plan for the next day and answer the questions.

Day 2: Dawn In Machu Picchu

They will be given a Snack for breakfast starting at 4:40 am. to then continue very early your ascent to the citadel in a trekking of 01 hour 30 minutes (approx.) or you will have the option of going to the citadel by bus. Guided by the archaeological complex of Machupicchu will begin at 6:00 a.m. and will last at least 2 hours. Then, you can enjoy free time to visit places of your greatest interest until approximately 11:30 am, which is the recommended time to return by the mountain and thus be able to make the descent of the citadel to the town of Aguas Calientes Then return back to the hydroelectric plant that will depart from Aguas Calientes at 13:15 p.m. And so start the return, which will take us to Santa Teresa. There, we will have a break of 40 minutes to get some food or go to the bathroom before undertaking the last stretch of the road and the asphalt track to Cusco where we will reach approx. at 9:30 p.m. Returning to the same path that brought us to this place.
