Salkantay A Machu Picchu

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco- Mollepata - Markokasa - Soraypampa.

4:30 in the morning Pick up from the Hotel, we will start our way by Tourist bus passing through high Andean towns, at approximately 9 a.m. We will arrive at Mollepata, where we will begin our trek until we reach three Cruces, where we will have lunch with a spectacular view of the Limatambo Valley, we will continue our walk towards Markokasa. Choquekiclla, from this point we can see the Apus Salkantay and Humantay, approximately 16:30 p.m. We will arrive at Soraypampa, (3500 masl or 20.671feet), where we will camp.

Day 2: Soraypampa- Salkantay Pampa- Paso Salkantay -Collpa Pampa

This day we will pass at the foot of the Apu Salkantay, we will see the lovely geography right below us. In the place called Paso Salcantay we will have an Inka Ceremony, through which we will request the Permission to pass and have a fabulous and unforgettable trip. This ceremony is known as Pago a la Tierra or Pachamama (Jaywarikuy), we will have lunch at the point called Huayrac, we will begin to descend towards Challhuay Pampa. Following the course of the Salkantay River, at this point we will have the opportunity to see the most beautiful Andean landscapes, in this place we will camp. (2900 masl approx.)

Day 3: Collpapampa - La Playa-Lucmabamba -Santa Teresa

The road is more stable, we will have the opportunity to enjoy the landscape that hides this part, the Andean High Jungle makes our trip more unforgettable, we can appreciate many species of flowers, between orchids and ferns, birds of different colors, we will have the opportunity to taste some fruits such as Granadilla, Orange, banana among others, After Lunch in the Sector called the Beach, we will go to Santa Teresa, where we will camp.

Day 4: Santa Teresa - Hydroelectric - Machupicchu Pueblo

We will start our trip going through a beautiful waterfall, thus reaching Hydroelectric. Lunch, then continue to Machupicchu Pueblo through Mandor and its waterfall, also known for its botanical gardens showing beautiful and colorful flowers, arrival at Machu Picchu Pueblo where we will spend the night in a comfortable hotel. Optional night visit to the thermal springs of the town “payment by admission fee $ 4 dollars in the income”.

Day 5: Machu Picchu - Full Day

(6:00 am) After breakfast we take the bus (OPTIONAL WALK) that will take us to the Inca city of Machupicchu, in this way we can be one of the first groups within the Inka city which will allow us to enjoy a beautiful sunrise, then we will have approximately 2 hours a visit to the most important venues with your guide, then you can explore the mysterious city at your own pace.

If you were able to confirm your entrance to the sacred mountain of Wayna Picchu, you will have time to climb it, Wayna Picchu (2720msnm) It takes 45 minutes to reach the top, this walk is additional and optional.

At a certain time we take the return bus to the town of Aguas Calientes. You will meet with your guide in Aguas Calientes. Return Train (to Ollantaytambo) and Cusco bus. We will be in Cusco at approximately 22:30 pm.
