Tour Itinerary

Day 1: SANTA MARIA Bicycle 55 km (Optional Canoeing)

Pick up from the hotel between 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. And departure heading to the Sacred Valley of the Incas (Urubamba), passing through Ollantaytambo where we will supply water or another that we lack for the journey, throughout this route we can appreciate beautiful and picturesque natural and cultural attractions. We will arrive at approximately 11 am at Nevado Abra Málaga, which is at an altitude of 4,350 masl starting point with bicycles, and we will descend towards the high forest, passing through small villages, fruit fields, rivers and streams. We will arrive at the town of Santa María around 3 p.m. OPTIONAL Then we will be transported until we reach a place in the river to start with Rafting or Canoeing which includes the respective helmets, vests and life-saving gloves, this section has a difficulty III-IV with exciting emotions and with some risk but all supervised and accompanied by a professional kayak and in company of a fleet of rafts. After this exciting adventure we will be transported in a private vehicle to keep the safety of our luggage and the group united to the town of Santa Maria where we will spend our first night in a family home.

DAY 2: Trekking SANTA MARIA - SANTA TERESA (23 km)
  • The second day of the Inca in the jungle we got up around 5:00 a.m. To enjoy the traditional breakfast then we will start the walk along the river bank. Along the way we can witness the flora and fauna of the place, part of this walk will be the original Inka trail. Then we can cross the river using a cable basket which is also another adventure to remember. As we move deeper into the jungle, we will see some of the many fantastic bird species showing their beauty and their sounds. Remember that in this part of the world, the jungle of the Amazon has the widest biological diversity on the planet. After a repairing lunch in the small village of Kellomayo, we will follow the route crossing by waterfalls, streams, fruit plantations, arriving at the thermal baths of Santa Teresa which is a medicinal and therapeutic waters resource. After the relaxing bath we will continue with our 40 minutes more walk to the town of Santa Teresa where we will spend the second night. This night is used by the majority to enjoy a ‘pisco sour’ in the small and cozy clubs of Santa Teresa, where we will establish the bonds of lasting friendship with our group.

DAY 3: SANTA TERESA - MACHUPICHU VILLAGE Trekking 16km (Tyrolean optional)

This day was marked by the discovery and history that the professional guide described on the way, that we will cross the routes that made the great expeditioners who discovered Machupicchu and other important archaeological remains. After having enjoyed the landscape and a brief descent to the Hydroelectric, where our lunch awaits us and then continue with our walk enjoying the splendid waterfalls from the glaciers, coca plantations and coffee from the local inhabitants, continuing to through the train route to Aguas Calientes or Machupicchu Pueblo and ushers in our Tourist Lodging, which has all the necessary services such as private bathroom, hot shower. It is also possible to enjoy the village hot springs for an additional price. In the evening we will meet at a tourist restaurant where we will have the option to order a la carte and plan with the guide the visit of Machu Picchu the next day. There we will spend our last night at the foot of the Great Machu Picchu.

DAY 4: MACHUPICCHU - CUSCO (visit of the Inka Citadel)

Around 4:00 am we get ready to head to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu a way up through the middle of the jungle, (OPTIONAL can take the bus) thus having the opportunity to see the sunrise, after checking in at the control from the park 6:20 am We appreciate the sunrise if luck accompanies us, then we continue the visit inside Machu Picchu accompanied by our professional guide who will share his knowledge with us during the following hours and then we will have free time to visit and hike within the citadel, based on the schedule of the return train. If the body allows us to climb a Huaynapicchu (young mountain) the view of the trip from where we can enjoy and see the entire city the Inka Citadel at its best.

In the afternoon descending to the village for the return in the Tourist Train from Machupicchu Pueblo to Ollantaytambo, where it was collected by tourist bus and transferred to Cusco, where the tour ended.
