Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Our journey will start at 8.30am. We will walk by the side of rivers Beni and Tuichi, enjoying the amazing landscape, until we arrive to our Eco Albergue “Mashaquipe, around 12pm. We will be welcomed by our staff with a refreshing fresh fruit juice and a delicious lunch. After a moment of pause, to visit the lodge facilities and our accommodation, we will get ready for an afternoon walk. We will take you on a visit to the Bambu jungle which is the ideal spot to observe giant trees, medicinal plants and if we are lucky wild boars, turtles and birds. After dinner, we will take you for a night walk in the Albergue surroundings where you will be able to observe and listen to nature.

Day 2

Breakfast is served at 7.30am and followed by a walk to the “Arroyo Seco” trail. The trek will last approximately 4 hours and your local guide will share with you interesting facts about our indigenous culture, traditional medicine and nature. You will most likely be able to observe wild pigs, capuchino monkeys, spider monkeys, howler monkeys and a variety of bird species. After lunch, and a well-deserved rest, we will take you by boat, over the Tuichi River, to visit an indigenous family. Our hosts will share their customs and traditions and offer us a delicious sugar cane juice. On our way back to the Albergue we can spend some relaxing time at a small lagoon, in the middle of the jungle, fishing piranas.

Day 3

Wake up time will be 6.30am. You will witness and listen to the noisy concert of the howler monkeys during the first hours of the day and to a variety of birds singing as if they were welcoming a new day in the jungle. Breakfast will be served at 7am. We will then head by boat to “Farallon de las Parabas” where you will be able to observe beautiful macaws and other species of parrots. If you so wish, we can teach you to build your own fluvial transport – rafting rustic: the transport Amazonian indigenous used to travel in the river back in the days. After 2 hours of navigation through an incredible scenery and wildlife we will arrive at Albergue “Mashaquipe”, where we will have lunch and return to Rurrenabaque around 4pm. If you do not wish to get involved in this activity we offer boats to cross the river.

• Transfer at Airport – Rurrenabaque

• Transportation by boat from Rurrenabaque to Mashaquipe Ecolodge within Madidi National Park, and by car to “The Turtles Lodge” within of the Pampas

• Accommodation in traditional style cabins.

• All meals (Regular & Vegetarian) while at the Ecolodge.

• Mineral water during your stay at the Ecolodge

• Bilingual local guide (English & Spanish) expert in rainforest appreciation.

• Guided activities through the Jungle (Madidi National Park.) We have 30Km of Trails System.

• Rubber Boots will be provided during your stay at the Ecolodge, we only have rubber boots until 44 sizes.

• Logistics for Hotel Reservation and Airline e-tickets in La Paz or Rurrenabaque.

• Entry fee to the Madidi National Park. Tourists Bs 200 and Pampa Bs 150

• Airline/Land tickets La Paz/Rurrenabaque/La Paz

• Accommodation and meals in Rurrenabaque

• Carbonated and alcoholic beverages.

• Other services not considered in the program.

Important Specifications

• The Ecolodge has the capacity to host a maximum of 25 people.

• We have traditional style cabins with Twin room, Triple room and marital room and common dorm (5 beds in the room).

• Children under 12 years old will be hosted in their parents’ room.

• Programmed activities at the Madidi Park are flexible and may be modified in accordance with the visitor’s interest, logistic or climatologically reasons.

The following itinerary can vary depending on the route depending on the circumstances of the road or other reasons.
